Jeannine Barr is a songwriter/singer who wants to make an emotional connection with her listeners. Whether it’s joy, pain, sorrow, love, kindness, thoughtfulness, or silliness- the connection is the key. She discovered her passion for songwriting a bit late in the game, learning guitar at age 54 and writing and recording her first single “THE COLOR RED “ at 56. Family, friends, faith, and nature are her biggest inspirations along with some of her favorite musicians ( James Taylor, Paul Simon, Joan Baez, John Denver, and  Michael Jackson).
Before getting involved in songwriting and guitar playing, Jeannine served as a Criminal District Court Judge in Harris County Texas for 24 years and prior to that she served as an Assistant District Attorney for 9 years.  She has been happily married to her amazing and supportive husband Jim since 1993.  She loves cats, dancing and chocolate!!!
Jeannine grew up in Baton Rouge, La. and currently resides in Houston Texas
